Thanks David,
I'm very happy that everyone in the group likes my photo.
Just FYI, the balloons are a new arts/cultural centre called The Shed at Hudson Yards in New York, it has cost something like $550 million...unsurprisingly some New Yorkers have a problem with this figure...and I kind of understand why... |

Strange thing is Peter that I didn't do a great deal of post on it. Shadows, highlights a touch of contrast I think, maybe sharpening but nothing special.
TS lenses are good for architecture and product photography. They are manual focus and semi automatic so slow you down a bit, which is sometimes a good thing :-) |

Just taken a look at the advert. Impressed. And definitely not expensive, looks like photoshop, just from the screen shots I saw. |

This is extremely beautiful Peter, something out of National Geographic.
Did you use a polarising filter ?
Sharp, well saturated, cleverly put together to get the best out of both images. It feels like I'm there but I think now if I was to visit I'd be disappointed because of your fantastic work. |

Some people have cameras and just have no clue how to use them Ian, the guy probably didn't even know how to switch the flash off !
I just dislike water and deep water is scary, I've been on the barrier reef a couple of times and I hate that bit where the reef finishes and then it's just dark blue and deeeeeeep. Your image has reminded me of this, which is good!.
Whenever someone else fiddles with a photo it makes me also think, I'll have a go as well so here's my take on it :-) some weird colours come through! |

Daryl, You live in the Lake District ! Lucky you !!
I like what you've done to it, it has a late afternoon sun feeling to it now that you've processed it. I can see Wordsworth walking across this field in another time.
But I thought in previous posts you mentioned Photoshop was the tool of the devil.
What happened ?

And yes I can see the square of photoshop where the plant used to be :-) but wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't have mentioned it. |

I want to be there !
Nice work David. What would have probably made it perfect would be a couple of people with wine glasses watching the sun go down. But that's a personal view of course. |

Hi Sherry,
This is a postcard image, perfect. How long did you wait for the sun to poke through ? If I had been standing there it would have NEVER done this, I'm not very lucky with this kind on shots.
Very nice |

Thanks Daryl,
They are indeed ace and I couple not even contemplate selling any of mine :-) infact I can't bring myself to sell any lenses 'just in case' but some are very under used.
Surprisingly the post production was mainly sharpening and probably some colour enhancement but I try to keep it realistic so it's a pity you noticed :-))

Thanks a lot Sherry, it means a lot when you say its my best one yet !
Tilt shift lenses are my 'go to' lenses and sometimes its necessary, especially with tall skyscrapers, to knit two images together in PS. Then it's very difficult to get lines consistently parallel unless one uses a T/S and a tripod. |
