73 Apr 19 Comment I like it, it's adventurous ! I also like the fact that a view over downtown NYC is not enough and that you bunked off work :-) well done, your priorities are spot on Tuhin !

For me the buildings need to be straight and slightly less saturation and a bit less of the big cloud in the foreground.

I also have an ND filter and polariser that I never get out of my bag / cupboard, perhaps it's time I did. I'm inspired now ! Thanks

73 Apr 19 Comment Nice Ian ! I like the craggy rocks leading your eye into the photo and the crashing waves. Could perhaps be sharper, but that's personal taste.
I always find with this sort of photo that the viewer has to be a photographer to really appreciate what you had to go through to capture the photo. Carrying your kit, wind, rain, spray. Trying to get your tripod set up so you don't get washed away but trying to consider the best angle etc...

I've just looked at the photo again and suddenly the bushes look like Mickey Mouse.

So no need to add horses.. :-))

73 Apr 19 Comment Hi Darryl,

I love this part of England and I think that your image brings it out at that time of year it's cold and a pint in a warm old pub is what's needed :-)

I know that you're against PS but manipulating photos has been in existence since almost the beginning of photography, so try and justify it in that way :-)

I really like the photo and can see that I would like it to be somewhere in-between the blue cold and the original....so...I would have layer stacked them (blue one at the top) and taken the top layer down by say 50% so that you can see the original image a little through the blue image and then upped the saturation / vibrance on the original to give it just a very small pop.
Now you think I'm smoking funny cigarettes don't you ;-))

But it's just an idea Darryl. In the end you're the one seeing and clicking the button.

73 Apr 19 Comment Very nice indeed, love the contrast and juxtapositioning of the church and the rugged hillside and the scale.

D850 is indeed awesome :-)

73 Apr 19 Comment David,

Your backyard !!! Pffff lucky you.

I agree that a couple of horses running across it would add a little extra to a lovely image.

73 Apr 19 Comment Hi Ian,

You're absolutely right Ian, I posted this quickly without really looking. It also comes out quite contrasty.

The point you make of having a lower viewpoint, I get it, just that if I showed the other side of the river it would add a further complication to the image. One thing I should have done for sure is have waited for the water taxi to become absolutely central, it's over to the left now, 'the decisive moment' and all that. A small photoshop correction should take care of it :-) Thanks for your feedback always useful.
