73 Feb 19 Reply Hi Sherry,

You'd still need a long exposure on the lake so the water would be smooth and reflective with the colours, just that you wouldn't have the same noise if you used say, ISO 800 with a longer exposure. You'd still need to push it in PS to get the 100% correct exposure but there would not be the same noise.

73 Feb 19 Comment I feel like I'm on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise Tuhin :-) What a lovely image ! I've NEVER tried astrophotography but seeing this makes me want too. If it were me...a non astrophotographer, I would have made at least two exposures one for the stars and then one for the mountains, water etc. and composited them together. Then you could have a lower ISO for the rocks, doing away with the noise and a perfect starry sky. Just layer the two images and mask appropriately. I love the colours and the composition, just the noise is a bit annoying. Feb 19th
73 Feb 19 Comment Ian ! My goodness, you see everything ! I really wouldn't have noticed the lack of cloud behind the bloom, but now you've mentioned it I'm curious as well. But I think its just the cloud formation and not PS. Only Peter can tell us.I love the leading lines the sand lines converging off into the distance complimented by the clouds also leading us off over the horizon. The colours are also very relaxing I find. I wish I could get my Skies to be this colour. The vapour trail helps with the perspective I think and it's interesting that it starts EXACTLY in the top centre of the frame so I wonder if its there on purpose..Peter ?

73 Feb 19 Comment OMG...here I am sitting in my cold office somewhere in Belgium and then I see your image David, depressed, you bet ! ;-))
I like it all, I can almost feel the warm breeze blowing off the sea. I like the salty haze above the water in the far distance.
I think Sherry is right, however, if it were me I'd probably just dodge the beach to give more of a lead into your main image, but just a little bit. And just a little bit really not much at all, orange saturation one or two notches on the slider.

Overall I am sufficiently jealous David, you're very lucky to have been in a position to photograph this.

73 Feb 19 Comment Love the leading vectors in this Sherry. Everyone gets sensor spots but yours were particularly abundant :-) good that you got a new camera replacement. I have never seen such a looooong bridge ! I can understand your apprehension about crossing it.

Above all I like the fact that the rocks echo the shape of the bridges tailing off into the distance.
