73 Dec 18 Comment Yup I agree with the comments so far about the moon, it looks a bit surreal.

Sherry, this was the sort of view I was wondering about regarding your church image, one from a long way off where the church is the only thing on the horizon.

73 Dec 18 Comment Peter another beauty !! The thing that strikes me the most is the light and colours of this image. Really nice. Dec 10th
73 Dec 18 Comment This has been a terrible thing for so many people, I can't begin to imagine what it feels like to suddenly have to leave your home with nothing and return to just ashes terrible. I hope there will be a lot of assistance to help people get back on their feet.
The image, I love that there are so many shades of blue in it and the depth is amazing black foreground through to a very light background, it's wonderful.
Really beautiful.
My CC would be that the vapour trail and the lens flare distracts (me at least) a little.

73 Dec 18 Comment Thanks Sherry and Ian.

I think that Sherry's crop is ideal, I wanted to have the wall as a leading line so this crop solves that and I like the pinker sky as well.

Ian, I see what you mean but the thing is that if I crop that building to the right out the image becomes a bit unbalanced as I want to have the Zaha building the most central.

Ideally I would have been in the bay on a boat to get the view I wanted, to separate the ZHA building from the rest. I have other photos where it is separated but the light is not optimal (See below)

Thanks both for your useful feedback, I like constructive criticism, it's the only way to get better !

73 Dec 18 Comment I can't say any more than Sherry and Ian David, it's a great shot with lots of depth and colour. Like the angle in the way that the landscape fills the frame.

73 Dec 18 Comment I also like misty photos but tend to miss them ! This almost looks like a impressionist painting Ian, which is a compliment.
My only comment/question, would be whats happened to the trunks of the trees in the foreground ? They look as though they've been painted green.
Having said this its very nice image.

73 Dec 18 Comment Very desolate Sherry !

Nice straight lines and very moody. I would have probably emphasised the clouds a bit more to make it feel even more threatening.

The only comment I would have would be what about shooting it from much further away so that is becomes a very small church in a very large desolate landscape..
