Sorry David,
I didn't mean HDR in camera I meant it as a generic term for increasing/decreasing, saturation/vibrance/shadows/highlights etc. of RAW in post processing.
But as you say, a guilty pleasure, and EVERYONE enjoys a guilty pleasure :-))

Hi Steven, you know why I'm glad I've joined this group, it's because I get to see images from around the world and I think that yours represents this really well.
I like the way that the cars framed in the foreground attract your eye, then taken through the wooded area and finally reach the buildings behind, it's very clever. Being an architectural photographer (read obsessed with straight lines) I would have straightened the framework, got rid of the 4 light reflections top right and the red dot because they distract the eye and reduced the yellow hue a bit :-) But I am a bit nerdy sooo......please don't think I'm being negative. |

BIIIG Sky ! wonderful reflection David and the tree giving depth to the image, I love the composition and the autumnal colours coming through. For me I'd probably tone down the HDR, I also use HDR but I try to keep it as close to reality as possible. But it's all a matter of choice, no right and wrong. Really nice image, I feel like I'm just discovering this lake after a long walk. |

This is beautiful, I feel like I'm almost there with the wind in my face ! nice framing leading lines and layering of the image plus that wonderful Icelandic crisp light.
Very very nice ! |

Hi David,
Thanks for your nice words :-)
Yes D850, the only problem is that the camera is more intelligent than I am but it does shoot wonderful photos and the quality is amazing.
Am looking forward to seeing everyone else's work !
