Thanks a lot for the comments/feedback Stuart, Dick and Janet. These subjects were very tiny & restless that I could not play around enough with aperture. Excuses may be several but yes, point well taken to work upon further :-) |

Hi Tom, excellent cropping and positioning of the stamen (going by rule of thirds). I liked the colors you have extracted from the original capture. Just right! Even I raised my eyebrows when I read f38 in-line with Stuart's comments :)

Hello Dick, I'm seeing this toad for the first time this close. Feels like seeing one of the Pirates of Caribbean characters.
I liked the cropped version from Janet better. The best part that caught my attention is the warmth you have retained to set a different mood of the image. Beautiful! |

Hello Janet, I just loved the simple subject highlighted so well to catch the viewer's attention. Lovely colors like others have highlighted. Figure of 8 or infinity is a good catch while shooting. In my opinion, if you do a selective coloring or de-saturating other colors a bit leaving only orange on the figure of 8, it might enhance further. Thanks for sharing the idea. I will keep this in mind during my next visit to harbor side whenever I do... |

Hello Stuart, I liked the diagonal positioning of the buds & stem. I see the snow behind is playing like an aura for the buds that too in same shape :-)
I did like Janet's frame to improve the viewer's attention as well.
In my view, may be a lower shutter speed like 100 or 125 would have sufficed which could have improved the depth/sharpness overall with a bigger f stop. Like to stand corrected if you think otherwise

Hi Salvador, beautiful bunch of mushrooms with catchy colors/patterns. I liked the overall composition. In my opinion, those greens on either sides are slightly distracting and I agree with the idea of Stuart to blur the top portion of the image. May be a little bit of de-saturation and vignetting might help the distractions around you think? |

Thanks Larry. Yes, I was as close to the falls that the water was sprinkling on my lens constantly. I wiped the lens multiple times to get this clear shot. I am quite not sure of the reason for sharpness issue (is it because of Gorilla pod or compression issue).
I doubt camera shake due to shutter release as I used a 2 sec timer since I did not have a remote/cable to release shutter.
Overall, I am glad all of you liked the image and the angle. Thanks for the wonderful constructive feedback. |

Glad to show some nature pics from India Cheryl. Thanks for liking them :)
I wonder if the image compression also has played a role in reducing the sharpness... but yes, the scene was definitely enticing and peaceful to watch. |

Right Richard, the water was muddy. Good point on the cropping. Will retry on this aspect when I look at the clouds... thank you! |

Thanks Michael. I used LR for the PP. Yes, I agree with you to play with clouds to make it more dramatic. I kept it at this due to too much of sensor dust which, I got it cleaned after returning. Removal of dust required a good amount of time but I settled here...
May be I will revisit this image to correct that sometime |

Thanks for the feedback Wayne. This was a muddy water due to the overflow from a lake nearby. Hence, you see the colored water.
I had to jump few rocks/stones to get to this angle and be right there without getting swept away :) |

It is a good wing spread click Cheryl. Lovely contrasting colors as well. It would be good to either include the butterfly in the bg fully or remove it to avoid distraction. A little bit more tilt to make it a diagonal composition might enhance the beauty in my opinion. |

Nice capture and Post Processing Richard. I liked the presentation you have chosen against the full frame. The color rendering is also good. I guess you have clicked this by noon'ish due to which the highlights are still a bit harsh. |

Hi Larry, I am simply awe struck by your landscape photos. These kind of clicks are definitely a worthy buy. Looking at the colors the Sun & Sky combination can offer us, astonishes. I like the way you plan things to shoot and I need to get better in that area. Thanks for sharing such brilliant images... |

Hi Wayne, an interesting nature click. I liked the habitat shot the way it is depicted. It is interesting how the chicks act naughty from nesting stage itself (although it may be for a different reason the chick is behaving like that)...
According to me, a little bit of head turn of the bird would have had more impact as well. But I do understand how it is to click the subjects in nature with no control whatsoever... |

Hi Michael, you have one hell of a great documentary shot I would say. The contrasting colors you have is superb. I liked the storytelling from this image (Survival of the fittest and size doesn't matter in wild).
To me, the bright purples and grass blades are slightly distracting although my eyes are still hovering around the fly and spider to appreciate the moment captured... may be blurring the distracting elements more might help in my opinion. |
