67 Jan 19 Comment Hi Cheryl, cute image to be honest. I am seeing this antelope for the first time so it looks even more beautiful. :)

Well, without knowing your shooting conditions, I have a comment to offer. :) Probably, if you had taken a couple of steps to your left, the subject would have been separated from the left bush, which would have made the frame still better as I see. I agree either removing those dry branches in the BG or de-toning them to reduce the little distraction around.

It is indeed a nice pic to show mother's love in nature.

67 Jan 19 Reply Thanks for taking time Max. Your image certainly looks better. My only point is on the lighting on subject in the processed one. Although I see the diffusion can be improved further while shooting itself. Need to work on that. Jan 9th
67 Jan 19 Reply Thanks Larry. Much appreciate your feedback. Nikon 105mm is one of my dream buy... Let me see when I can put my hands around it. You should take it out and show us your masterpieces from Macro world too! :)
BTW, the bg was almost 20mts away from the subject which has given me this beautiful creamy bg.

67 Jan 19 Reply Thanks for the comments Larry. I get you.

B&W image is looking a bit dull as you rightly mentioned. However, there is potential to play with highlights and whites on that house+clouds to make it impactful.

However, I see the image presented now is really beautiful. Was just curious how it might look and feel in B&W.

I liked your comment on breaking the rule of thirds... :) sometimes it is good to break the rule as well.

67 Jan 19 Comment Wow, I can feel that cold by looking at this image. I think the tree on the left top corner more as a distraction and probably chop it off to keep the viewer's focus fully on the big guy.

The little action is well captured and as mentioned the feel of the climate is captured excellently.

67 Jan 19 Comment Stunning image! Good variety of colors, Blue, Orange, Purple, White... The depression on the left bottom is slightly distracting. You can either use some Vignetting to downplay that or probably see another cropping mode.

A great shot for handheld with adequate sharpness although I understand your point to use tripod. If you can play a bit on highlights and contrast, I feel the image will be even rich.

The snow and those purple/magenta lines also are acting like leading lines towards the houses/sun. That has worked brilliant...

67 Jan 19 Comment Happy New Year! Nice bright image Michael. Choice of selective coloring worked well in your processing. I agree with Larry on de-coloring the brown part at the left bottom of the image. I also think a little bit of dehazing might enhance the image a bit more by darkening the dark areas and clouds. That gives a more dramatic sky as well. Jan 4th
67 Jan 19 Comment Hi Larry, as I read your 1st statement, I wondered why that question if the image qualifies or not... then realized the question is because we are in Nature plus category and buildings come under a different category. Hope my inference is right.

Another visual treat of landscape. I see the curvy back flow of the water in the foreground gives an interesting shape & look. The stormy weather is certainly captured well. I am not sure if you tried a Monochrome conversion to show the feel better.

It would help me if you could explain this image from rule of thirds perspective as I am not able to place the grid according to the rule for this image.
