Hi Larry, thanks so much for the feedback. Light was approx. 2ft away from the subject at around 50-60deg angle. DIY diffuser was made at home and I had carried it for photo shoot to get soft light and details of the macro subjects. Used a regular plastic box, tissue papers and tapes to get the setup done. The diffuser is mounted on the flash to get that spread of light and softness. I see there is still room to improve to make it more effective though. May be I will share an image of my setup next time if that helps. Thanks again! Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you and everyone in this group... |

Oh! Glad you liked it Wayne. Yeah, in peak monsoon, it is very difficult to click due to various factors, slippery mud roads, non stop rain, need to keep the camera free of moisture etc. But fortunate to get this click despite. Thanks for the comment. |

Wow! Super image. Seeing this for the first time Max. Thanks for sharing. I wonder how have you got the sharp and blurriness on the bark? is it because of the different focal length while stacking?
I would prefer reducing the back ground highlights, pulling up the shadows a bit towards the face/snout and giving a bit more breathing space in front of the insect.
Over all great effort/patience to click and stack to get up to this. |

What colorful butterfly Michael!
I see a world of difference (positive) from Original image to the processed image. It is simply superb! The diagonal composition running across is also great after cropping (although I would have preferred to show as attached, keeping the deliberate distraction on the left - may be I am wrong in looking it that way). PP is very well done and I agree with Larry on the sharpness part. |

Very nice representation of friendship Wayne. It makes the viewer to think about the possible communication that might be happening between them. Contrasting colors also speak well in the picture. Lovely eye for detail to bring out a special view in our common surrounding |

I envy your choice of places Larry. Brilliant!
I like the "trend line" sort of arrangement of the trees and MW in the BG. Your landscape composition leaves me awe struck. Beautiful image with required exposure / lighting |

Such a colorful bird!
Good find first of all amidst of other colors around. Image is tac sharp even after cropping. Liked the composition too. The only thing probably I would have done is to reduce a bit of highlights on the bg flower to enhance the visibility of the bird itself.
Overall super pic |

Hi Cheryl, excellent choice of showing the image in B&W. The details are too good even after cropping. It is definitely hard to get the details on such White subjects. The bill with White bg and the curves are adding to the aesthetic look of the image for sure. Great work!!! |
