Hi Richard,
Brilliant capture of this little beauty. Nice bokeh colors as well. Those twigs in the bg (including the one right behind the bird's legs) are slightly disturbing and would help if the highlights of those can be reduced. A little more crop will give an enhanced look IMO. Something like this... |

Hi Larry,
First impression looking at this image is "Wow!" Liked the composition, sharpness without noise on dark areas.
I did like your second image after cropping. |

Hi Wayne,
Simply superb image! Really liked the post processing to bring out those strong colors of canyon & sky. I would have probably looked for a slightly higher elevation to reduce the tree size in the foreground if there was a chance to do so. That would have given more visibility to the canyon patterns complemented by the sky color. |

Hi Max,
Lovely, vibrant colors. Good capture! Have you also tried Vertical presentation of the image? Just curios how it would have looked.
Looks like this is a handheld shot as I see the shaken flash light on its eyes. Decent enough for a handheld shot considering bend down exercise we have to do while shooting such subjects. |

Hi Michael,
I am new joiner to this group and PSA team. Glad to be part of elite team to have focused group discussions and enhance our learning together.
Coming to your image, I like the overall processing in terms of pulling up shadows, sharpening etc. As I see, good effort in capturing the subject despite the noisy surrounding.
Few points I felt could have improved the image more: a) vertical crop like Isaac has shown b) if not for Salon purpose, the twig on the hind leg could have been cloned c) the highlights on the face could be reduced a bit more
Like always, it is good to be a critic. But the comments is not to negate the efforts by the photographer for sure. :)
Thanks!
