15 Dec 20 Comment Hi Linda, I agree with comments above so won't repeat them. I want to see something done in the sky area, texture, clouds, something - it is just to blah (in a good way). It needs to set off the lady and the flag. My eyes just kind of go everywhere with all the light. Even a tad of grey would set off the red/white and blue flag. Very patriotic for sure. Best of New Years! Dec 29th
15 Dec 20 Comment Everything everyone else said above. I find it a neat photo to laugh along with. One of those that strikes your funny bone in a really good way. Happy New Years! Dec 29th
15 Dec 20 Comment Kristi, very interesting. I wanted to get sucked into the front 3 buoys and nothing else. There is something magical about them. They invite mystery and speculation. If the buoys in the back row were more colorful (but not as bright as the front row) cropping as suggested above might intrigue me a little more but I'm not sure as I really like the front 3 best. 15 Dec 20 Comment Bob, beautiful! I almost only want to look at the sky and not anything else (hills/tree), but maybe it needs the silhouette of the tree. The colors are very "California sky" we did have beautiful skies, but I think our Arizona Sky colors now rival CA skies for sure. Thank you for sharing! Dec 29th
15 Dec 20 Comment What a great puzzle this panorama would make! It is beautiful and very typical of Northern New Mexico. I love it and the panorama layout is perfect for it. Was it early fall when the colors just start to turn or spring? I'm thinking Spring, but I remember it being colorful all year long almost :-) Dec 29th
15 Dec 20 Reply Thank you Rick, I see what you mean about the rule of thirds. Funny how many things you have to take into consideration on a photo. What I have learned these past few years has helped me considerably in picking out photos to use for this and competitions. I've also learned just to take 800 shots and hope that one of them is the perfect balance of rules! Best of New Years! Dec 29th
15 Dec 20 Reply Hi Kristi,

Thank you for your response. The old building was used as a cold storage building/bunker back in the early 1900s. It is on my son-in-laws land in WV so next time we go back I will take your suggestions to reshoot the photo, hopefully with my camera vs cell phone. Thank you again, best of New Years!

15 Dec 20 Reply Hi Bob, the photo came from the old building on my son-in-laws property in WV so next time we go back there I will put your suggestions to work. The pathway, old and twisted and falling apart is what intrigued me to begin with. Getting down at ground level kept my attention (photo 1). So what if I cropped photo 1 up to the other side of the boulder, do you think it would lose its impact? I'll try it and then add it here. It may be too short of a leading line for the walkway. Thank you again, best of new years! Dec 29th
