I don't do bees! They don't like me and I don't like them. Thank you for the comments, good to know. |

Charles, beautiful shot! I think I understand what Rick is saying as I missed the bee and saw the flower first. Had I not read his review I would have missed the bee because the flower is so bold that I went directly to the left of the photo and the gorgeous color of the flower, then I saw the bee. Perhaps it eclipses the bee and that bee is too beautiful! Great photo! |

I'm with Rick, it is perfect! Is this just at sunrise or at that "golden hour" just before sunset? Whichever, it is perfect! Grass Valley is my old stomping grounds for 7 years before moving to Southern California. I miss it big time! Beautiful photo.

Rick, I really, really love this photo from the onset! I have one problem and it is probably just me - I'm having trouble with what would be his right arm that I think is sticking out of the water at an angle? The left arm is perfect in the stroke and I suspect the right one is too, but I can't connect it to the body if that makes sense. At first I thought he was reaching down to rescue someone who had their arm sticking up, then figured out it must be his own arm. The colors, the sky and water, just amazing! I hope what I said makes sense. I like the horizontal idea but maybe show more of the right arm? Nope, that would throw his body off? Look forward to seeing what you might do. But coloring is perfect - mysterious and spooky. |
