10 Jul 19 Comment I am really attracted to this image. The purple and yellows are a wonderful combination. I so like the way the dragon fly seems to be hugging the blossom so enderly. Lovely soft background helps emphasize dragonfly for me. Agree with Mark on bright spot as a distraction and cropping from top. Well done. Jul 19th
10 Jul 19 Comment Mark, so appreciate your studied eye to grasp the nuances of this image. I worked on it long and hard to finally achieve the subtleties I envisioned. Jul 16th

10 Jul 19 Comment There is a lot I like about this image. I agree about the white vignette. I'm not keen on it in most cases, but it does enhance this scene for me. So tranquil and serene with the birds on the water adding to the story. Just wondering about a couple of things. To my eye, the branches seem to have some haloing along the edges, usually as result of oversharpening. Maybe the HDR treatment? Also, am I seeing some soft gray spotting in places that might be from lens or sensor dust? Or are they rain drops maybe? Thanks for sharing this serene scene. Jul 15th
10 Jul 19 Comment The image composition with the boat photographed on an angle draws me in. My eye finds the colors complementing each other. Having a small portion of the second boat visible adds interest for me. The big distraction, which you could not control, are the plastic bottles in the prow of the boat as I find them to be in unfortunate conflict with the wonderful, weathered character of the boat. 10 Jul 19 Comment Love this image. So exciting. High impact. Great choice of background wall to add interest. Fascinated by the bounding sparks. Like the warm brown coloring that enhances the sparks. Jul 15th
10 Jul 19 Comment Thanks so much for your comment. I I think you will learn much from Harold Davis. He has a number of books, all easy to follow. He is one of my best teachers. Jul 13th
