Immediately attracted to the composition of this image. Three men, three poses, three reel, three dominant colors, fore, mid, and background. Each man with a story of hard work and danger. It all works for me. I might add a subtle vignette as I most often do, which would bring emphasis to the men. |

I did sense pain in the image. Commuted from Portland to Sacramento over a long. Of time. Remember meeting a fellow who took me on a motorcycle ride down the Levee. And dinner at a restaurant, think it was Chevy's. Good memories of Sacramento. Thank you for your heartfelt image. |

You clearly provided strong evidence that timing is everything when you have the skill to use it. To me, you captured so many elements that make a powerful bird image...majestic bird, in flight, wings spread, doing work, telling a story, sharp focus, and more. Even eye hitting rule of thirds. So appreciate the soft background and like vignetted corners. Great field work and compelling edit. Perhaps one suggestion...might be seeing a bit of edit halo on some edges. A friend taught me to use the PS clone stamp set to 60-80% hard edge to eliminate them. Was pleased how well it worked. Thank you for sharing. |

At first view, this image intrigued me. As I continued to view it, my eye became distracted by the glare of the bases of the fountain lights, the busy background filled with people on both sides, and multiple background lights. To me, this image does document the scene. However, I'm hesitant to say it is artistically appealing. |

Wow! This image grabs my interest and holds it. Well composed. Powerful leading lines take my eye to the couple in center, then out to explore the woman and child and the lady perhaps observing them, and back again. Not busy, to me, everyone adds to the story. You picked perfect weather conditions with stark background to accentuate bold architecture. Structure fascinates me by appearing to lean in and out at the same time. No distractions. Great image. |

Would be interested to hear what compelled you to take this image? And what you define as the point of interest. To me, it is just documentation of geography from a road site stop. My eye is struggling to settle on a specific point of interest. Not even sure if I could crop in to create more meaning. Sorry. It just doesn't work for me. |

This image so appeals to me. Well done. I find composition compelling...tells story in so many ways. Woman's head buried in man's back, river seriously flooding, gray skies, moss on concrete barriers. To my eye, trees frame scene perfectly. Title talks of love, but couple speaks to me about loss and despair. Wonder if flood might be impacting them? |
