Hi Henry,
Great idea to put all those elements you mentioned above into a composite. Your selections are well done. I'll expand a bit on Brad's suggestion regarding the eyes guiding the viewer... it helps to show a visual (line of sight) connection between two or more subjects. Connections can be gestures, or nuances (such as eyes connecting) that really help to pull a viewer into a story. Something to think about when putting together a composite. |

Cool cat! Beautifully done. The natural vignette around the face really enhances the lighter details of the cat's eyes and nose. Great color! |

I love the deep rich blue and purple tones! I can hear the music reverberating over the water. Perfect setup for the Neowise comet. Nicely done! |

Brad, technically you have done a fantastic job with this. The star trails, the light falling on the trees is all nicely exposed. The cutout of the butterfly is really well done and sits perfectly in the tree. It is whimsical, so I'm not really looking for any meaning, and I'm not really sure what I would do to improve the image... except I might be inclined to try a graduated orange filter (sample the orange of the butterfly) in PS, drag it down across the top and play with the opacity, and also increase the contrast in the sky to darken the night sky. Just a thought! |
