I love a photo with a dog in it, it always brings a smile to my face.
This is such a gorgeous photo for your little grandniece. Is it her dog?
Does she have a copy on her wall?
I love the textures, fairy dust and the frame really finishes it off.
I can't think of anything to add to Brad's suggestions! |

Your image certainly has impact and you've done such a good job of putting the burning onto the cactus.
I'm not sure why, maybe the background being desaturated and it being a fairly cloudy day, but I actually get the feeling looking at your image that it's cold in the desert and the burning cactus is a source of warmth. |

Thanks Brad! Yes I agree it could look cool with Bub just floating, but as my inspiration was Elliott Erwitt's work I was trying to appropriate his similar image as much as possible.
I'm trying to copy his photo here, but not sure if I've been successful. |
