Yes ... that would have looked better. But no way I could have had the cake on the plates ... was hard enough getting them to stay still as it was .. I'm laughing thinking of the chaos if there'd been cakes on the plate.
I guess I could have masked it in ... taken a photo of the set table with cakes on the plates (no dogs in sight), and then masked the cake in later.
Thanks for giving me this inspiration ... it's amazing the little things you don't think of. |

You know what, Brad, I thought the same thing as I went to post it. I even thought of cropping on the left side to match... but ended up deciding against that! |

Wow... it sounds like you really learned a lot doing this image.
In the edited version the model does stand out a lot more as the clear subject.
Softening the surrounding foliage really helps with this.
The yellow and red rose layers do complement the beauty of the subject. I like the warm tone of the finished image.
I'm not sure I have any suggestions, except that I think it's a shame that the green stem to the right of the models face, comes up over her face, as it's a little distracting.
Well done! |

Jan, this is so well done. What an amazing imagination you have and what a lot of work.
It's amazing how you got the road to look so wonky. |

Brad, I too would have fond memories if I had camped next to this beautiful waterfall.
I'm wondering what it would look like if the bird was flying into the photo... it's flying out a little too close to the edge for me. |
