I love the composition, but it's too dark overall for me. I'd like to see some more.......reflection, detail, color, and are those seeds at the bottom center? After reading everyone else's comments, maybe my new monitor is set too dark and I need to do the adjusting. :~0
If you have any Topaz filters, it could be fun to tweak this and make it look like a painting. |

I would vote hair either in front of both shoulders and next to neck, or in front on one side and behind on the other both close to neck with maybe a little ing toward the sternum. Also, I would try having the arms not splayed out. My eyes are drawn to the lighter brighter areas of her throat, neck and chest, then to the curves of her armpits instead of to her beautiful face, eyes, and smile. All that being said, I am most definitely NOT a portrait photographer, so what do I know? |

This almost looks like a statue. I like it. I would however like to see the full color version as well so I could compare. The detail is amazingly crisp and sharp everywhere. Well done! |

I agree it needs some cropping. I had no idea this was a wedding photo until I read everyone else's comments. I thought it was a couple walking down the road with a small gas can because their vehicle had run out of gas. I was thinking, "Oh man, it sucks to be that gal in a long dress hiking along a dirt road." So I completely missed the story you were trying to tell with this photo. Help the viewer see the story. I'd crop off both sides (right = to just inside the small single tree; left = just to left of tree nearest the woman) and probably just a tad off the bottom leaving just enough of both roads to realize it's a fork in the road. |

Excellent shot! The three ice cube stack does somehow "complete" the image. What I'm most amazed with though is the moment of capture is the exact moment the dropped cube is impacting the cube already in the bottom of the glass. A fraction of a second later, and the drop path would have collapsed and it would be a completely different photo. If I was the maker of some green colored liquor, I'd being buying this photo to use in an ad campaign. Nicely done! |

Well, I have no idea what a lensbaby is, but I do know I like this photo. My favorite things about it: the curve of the stem(s) to the left and the way the far petals are outlined underneath by the lighter background. Well done to position the camera just right. I find myself wishing the stem where it joins to the flower (the calyx?) was not quite as blurry but realize it can't be. I like the idea of framing the photo, but sorry to say I dislike this frame because the blobs and "extras" make my eyes go there first, and then continually track back to them rather than stay on the subject. Maybe try a different frame? |
