Jo-Ann, what can be said but iphones are great. A bit of harsh shadows showing, and it looks like some grain would help as it is a bit smooth. Colors wonderful. Try portrait mode on your phone and you will get separation from the background. |

Janet, what a cutie. Well done, and the making of a great card. The top of her head a bit bright and can be brought down. a bit of interesting blue in the sled shadow. Might try for snow detail - dehaze the snow maybe? I love the expression. Priceless. |

Angela,
I like the original better. Kidding aside, post-processing is successful as to all of it! It is a bit static, but I love the way you draw out the details and lighting of the fine details. Sharp and shiny. It feels slightly tight to me on the left and right. I am not sure but probably would have cloned out the bottom middle brownish leaf. Beautifully done. |

Kurt, you have the story of the Root Beer Float, and it is clear that is your story. It is a bit static. Maybe have stirred the drink with the spoon as it is clean, and a missed point to show a time progression and depth to the story. I like the background working off at the angle you chose. Check that you have good white balance, as at least on my computer it is a bit on the warm orange side. The top of the ice cream is a bit bright lacking detail. But the story is there. |

Rose, a cute door. I take this as a documentary shot. iPhones are great, but one thing they don't do well is with blurring the background. Here it would have been nice to have a blurred out background, and that can be done in iPhone portrait mode, or in post processing. I would add a bit of clarity, adding contrast to the image. And I would consider brightening the whites a bit. |
