Angela, for further comment, I really appreciate what appears to be a beam of light in the upper right coming into the flower, as it adds to the lighting on the flower. I do see a third bright band on the left side of the pic parallel to the left of the other two, and that can also be ever so slightly darkened. I really like that the catus leaf closest to us is slightly out of focus, leading us to view the flower as the main subject, and not competing. While I like the leaf and its thorns just above it, it is tack sharp and the more I view it the more it could be a subtle distraction from the flower. You might un-sharpen those thorns ever so slightly just enough to eliminate the competition for attention. Maybe try it and see what you think and like best. Possibly bring down the highlights in the main petal base and a few other areas as it is a bit bright and certainly not blown out in any way, but to bring out texture, and even use a brush to also add texture. I enjoy this marvelous creative shot! |

Angela, a beautiful shot, and you processed it exceptionally well. The only exception are the two dull bright lines on the left, and you can clone those or darken them. That is my suggestion. The framing is good. Great job on focus and focus stacking. |

Tom, great pic, great event! I like your crop. You handled the high iso very well. I like the colors of course. I wonder what he is looking at and I am not sure if I would like it better if he was looking at you with the same head angle. A good portrait. These days I look for action. I like the shot, but probably would prefer him in action. |

Kurt, nice pic. I feel the pic is a bit heavy on the right side and find the upper left a bit barren. I would have liked the left tower to take up more of the pic. The jet is a bit tiny, but I get why you left it in. There is a bit of the building on the left that you can get rid of by cropping in a bit on the left. Cropping on a bit on the left and down from the top would take care of the empty space in the upper left. That is my take, but you might like it better as is. |

Rose, the Heron is good, and the reflection even better. I do find they compete, but what a scene! I try to get low getting bird pictures, but you were probably on a hill, so there was not much you could do about that. Great reflection. |

Jo-Ann, what a great experience and beautiful hummingbird. I like the way you captured the hummingbird as it was eating and still flying. I like the crop Angela suggested. You can also clone out the upper right area getting rid of the white area. |
