Hema, a wonderful story and capture. Good shutter speed to get the twirls and yet the hands sharp. I also like the tilted angle adding tension to the shot. The fingers are the story to me as the more I look, the more I feel. |

Angela,
Tremendous focus on all, and excellent shutter speed. I love the dirt flying up from the front bike leading me right to the second rider. The bnw is artistic, yet I find the color more compelling to me. The riders have a more three dimensional look to them, and the colors are beautiful. I like the crop on the left but I would consider a little less cropping on top, giving a bit more breathing room. In color the dirt pops, and the action is exemplified. For the bnw, I think it needs more pop, more blacks and pure whites, as it is grey to me. It is there to get. Check your histogram. If it popped more, I would consider the bnw. I still see more separation in color at this time. Lovely capture. |

Janet, amazing detail. Why spend thousands on cameras and lenses, and I still do, even this week. Lol.
Expression is classic - a "really" look. Yes, a bit tight in upper ears to boarder, and I wonder if you could have gotten a shot with all the whiskers, but the face is your subject. What a cutie. |

Thanks Angela, yes and if not photojournalism I would have cloned upper right, but if I ever use it for Camera Club competition we cannot clone per the CC rules for photojournalism. Same reason I cropped so tightly on the left cutting off vehicle. By the way I did lift up the shadows some on the vehicles, but when I lifted them more it seemed to take away from the fire subject. I would have liked more police action, but it is what it is. I have many shots and later I will see what if any I ever submit to CC competition. Your comments are heartfelt and welcome. Much appreciated, and much to consider when I look to possibly redo the shot processing. And no one got hurt. |
