Hema you captured wonderful background colors in your silhouette, and you have a nice starburst. While I like the colors, I agree with Brent that bnw is complelling. |

Thanks Brent. I like the way you say "the slice of life/street photography." |

Brent, I sure would love to be there. How peaceful. All sharp, and I find the framing nice and interesting patterns on the right side. I find a lovely shot and scene. I am not sure you can or should do anything differently. |

Cheryl, a beautiful portrait, and you drew out a lovely relaxed smile. I like the sparkles of the background. Maybe keep her face as is and darken around her a bit, bringing in our eye to her face, the subject to me. |

Noël, nice catch by you and by the Heron. These shots are hard to get, and you have nice timing here. Have you considered a horizontal flip? |

Janet, some faces are just meant to be seen, and this is one of them. I like the backlighting, and you did a masterful job on the background and clean up. Fun, and way to go! |

Lens not easy, and its strength is what it does with surroundings if around 4 f stop or thereabouts. fun to play around with, and each subject is different. |

Angela, I always love your creativity and quest for the new. I also have the Lensbaby 56, sort of, as I let my son use it and have not seen it since. So, I come from a limited use perspective. I find it at its best when an aperture that really brings out the creaminess of the subject and the background. Here you have an effective black background, but you can get more out of this lens. I also still try to keep the front in focus, and let it fall off. Here the front pedals are out of focus, and I prefer those to be in focus, and let the back pedals be a little more creamy if not all is in total focus. I also find the green just below the flower itself as pulling my eye, and I don't think that is your primary subject. beautiful colors, and I really like the composition, especially having that little bit of yellow! |
