Cheryl, nice portrait. I have a hard time with portraits, and you have done a nice job here. She is a little washed out and you can bring her back with post processing. The background is nice, and perhaps a bit bright in lower left, but you already did a very nice job on the background from the original. Nice detail in the hair you brought out too. |

Noël, I really like the leading lines and angles going from left to upper right. Colors are great, and you might see how it looks if you crop up and start in the green, and you will lose some of that great color, but it simplifies the image. Maybe consider moving the ship from the edge and leave an inch of the water behind it, creating a balance that I think will work. |

Hema, great detail and light, and composition. Snail might be a tad bright in the white, as well as the upper part of the picture. The action and the swirls are wonderful, and interesting, along with the backlit "hairs." |

Brent, you nailed the framing, as you isolated your subject. Bravo. Colors are great, and the background is handled well. Now if you can keep your background, even blur out the upper back leaf more, I would find all the leaves sharp and more attractive. f8 is great, or f5.6 depending on how the leaves are apart. Nice shot, and love what you are doing. |

Hi Janet,
I love the posture and the way the fox is looking off into the distance with the sense of purpose. What does it see? I am wondering, and that is good indeed. You handled the bright parts very well. I like the original better as the sky replacement becomes the focal point for me as replaced, but the subject is the fox. I would also blur out the bottom grass, as it becomes a focal point to which my eyes go, rather than a support for the fox. You framed it well right out of camera. Nice. |

Angela,
I am in awe. The technique you used I do not know. Sharing your technique used is generous. What you created here is nothing short of spectacular. You have taken the static documentary to dynamic and artistic visually and emotionally.
I feel energy and spiritualty in looking and absorbing your image. A feeling of angelic hope.
Now to the technical, and these suggestions take nothing away from what I above said. Upper flower might be slightly bright, maybe. Having a little more breathing room on top would keep me in the photograph travelling to the right, and not above taking me off the image. That said, wonderfully executed and a wonder to look at. I love the misty and the swirls interacting and overlapping. Wall ART! |
