Beautiful boy and shot. sharp as a tack. eyes wonderful. in fact the hair is so sharp, it pulls my eyes from his eyes, which seem to be the focal point. i suggest softening the sharpness of his hair, and the viewer should stay on those eyes. i like his pose too, and if you have an inch to spare above his hair, i would look at that too. very good. |

Brent, what a face! wonderful. I like the fence too, and see the lines you use. not sure if the guy adds to the pic, not strong content seeing the back of his head. and i ping pong from the dog to him. i think a crop vertically of the dog would really make a good shot into a great shot. and take some off the right, a fairly good amount, but if you do at least the protrusion, that would help. more contrast would enhance the drama too. it is sharp and crisp on the dog, so really good material to work with. you might even decide to crop to only get a little of the fence, but i love the trees and the intersecting lines, and parallel too. You have some things you can do many variations to your desire. great face! |

Angela, your comments are well taken. I am not submitting it for competition, but for feedback, and I agree it is busy. I find it too harsh and saturated for what you tried, as i tried that too. I appreciate your feedback, as i am here for that and to learn. I learn a lot from other photographer opinions, and i am glad you tried something different. By the way, I was so proud taking the picture with the bird, and as i learn, I see it is such a small part of the shot, that to me it is fun and interesting, but also a distraction. |

Sandy, a nice shot indeed. I love the colors, especially the leaves. I like the bottom and top areas having the colors, and the middle having less color. I like the vertical lines of the trees in contrast to the leaves. I would like to see the bottom left tree to go to the bottom of the pic, seeing the trunk with a few leaves supporting the tree frame. Now my laptop is calibrated, but I don't trust its true colors, so the trees look a little blue, and might look better more white, but it could be my screen. Nicely seen and I see your attraction to the scene. |

Angela, what a fun shot. great color and composition. i love the details and how it has dimension on the top half, giving the pic space for my eye to roam. I like the flair of the orange. The only thing that i would say that detracts from my image pleasure viewing is the merge of the orange shavings off the edge. My eye and mind what to see the edges, as they are great. That is the only merger that distracts me. |
