Not a bird!!! You post very artsy and beautiful landscapes. This might be your best. The color and fine sharp detail on the slope, with a little vegetation showing in sharp contrast here and there. I like! Nice colors in the sky and clouds. They look complementary to purple color of the mountain slope to me. But I'll dig around and see if I can find my color wheel (actually I don't have one). Nice!! |

A nice find of a bird not common in your area. Background is nice. I like the suggestion to add a little texture on the bird and also lighten its shadows a bit. Thanks. |

Many lines in the image. Wavy lines in the sand. Straight lines of the plant. And the horizon. The sky color complements the bluish shadows in the sand, and the faint clouds add interest. If you don't use photoshop (I don't) the horizon can be leveled easily with the Lightroom cropping tool. Beautiful image! |

Butch I like what you did here. The closer crop makes the sky look a little less fake and the perch needed darkening. Thanks and welcome! |

What a story! The mean ugly old Wood Stork is chasing the innocent and beautiful Great Blue Heron. Beak snapping, he growls "Get off my lawn." Storks are pretty ugly and GBH's are elegant and beautiful - your image certainly captures that. I like the wing positions and the fact that that red eye of the GBH is sharp and visible. |

I really like images with backlighting like this. Crisp and clear with a good reflection. I also like the balance of your composition with the bird and the clump of grass. But I would have not cropped this image. I like that extra bit of water at the bottom. And of course the grass shows an important environmental element. |

Yes this is a cool shot. Nice pose on possibly a Red-shouldered Hawk - looking for directions. I agree that you should show the entire sign. No, bird, the road goes the other way! Did you know there's a Facebook group called "Birds on Signs"? |

Thanks for the observations on this one. It's the sky that bothers me. It certainly looks fake so I'll need to find another way to handle that ugly gray sky. I love the pose of the bird and the fact that it's "winking" at us. Very playful looking. I wanted to capture that therefore the close crop. Yes I agree with backing off the crop a little, but want to make sure the "wink" is visible. |
