Thanks to all for the comments/suggestions. I'm going to re-think this one considering your suggestions about the two points and the tone. Much appreciated. |

Hi David, black and white is certainly the way to go with this one. I would try increasing contrast and darkening shadows some more to minimize those background branches. Good shot! |

A nice action shot. The birds are in good focus and exposure is good. If I were an eagle I wouldn't chase, but dive-bomb from above. |

We see bobolinks for only a short time here in southern Arkansas, as they migrate through. They like those weedy open fields. You might try cropping this one to a square format. Nice shot. Thanks. |

I really like that ethereal look you refer to. But what really makes this more than just a bird on a stick is the feathers out of place, blown by the breeze I suppose. And the highlight at the tip of the bird's beak. Those make this image unique. |

Wow, this story kept me on the edge of my seat. If I understand it correctly this is a single shot. Not several hundred shots merged in some kind of complex Photoshop operation (that's one reason I don't have much interest in doing the milky way stuff). Anyway, I think this is a masterful shot. You sir are indeed a master. This is not kissing up to the boss (although I have had plenty of practice at that). Thanks a million for sharing. |
