67 Jan 23 Reply I took a shot at removing the crossing branch using Lightroom's new "content aware" mask. Also cropped a little more. I don't use the texture slider much but tried reducing the texture of the background, which appears to reduce the noise a bit. Also slightly darkened the background. 67 Jan 23 Comment Hi David, I like the crop on this one, making the leaf off center. I agree with the others that it's not obvious that the leaf is in ice. But that doesn't matter IMO. It's still a nice visual. Thanks. Jan 7th
67 Jan 23 Comment Hi Bud, bird and blurred background are both really good. On my screen the bird in your processed image looks more hazy than the original. In Lightroom I would try subject masking the bird and dehaze a bit, and use the "iris enhance" brush to brighten up the eye. I like the way you cropped the image. Thanks. Jan 7th

67 Jan 23 Comment Thanks for another great photo, and inspiration to get out there and shoot. I'm not tuned in to the photo competition scene, so I wonder why a judge would care if an image is cropped or not. I guess some of them don't consider photography to be art. Jan 7th
