Hi Frank, nice action shot very well cropped. Good job of bringing out the color of the eyes. The birds themselves look a little plastic, without feather detail. Maybe because of the heavy crop and sharpening/denoise required. Still a good image. |

Jason that's a really nice shot. Tells a good story and the chick looks cute with the food (or whatever) in its beak. I agree the birds could be lightened up a bit to show off the feathers more, although you caught the natural lighting very well. Focus looks perfect to me with foreground and background nicely blurred. Good! |

Great job of capturing that fleeting moment. A minute or even a few seconds later that perfect light would have been gone. I assume that you scout ahead and return to a site for many of your shots. Most of my shots seem to be those fleeting moments as I walk trails looking for subjects to shoot. So many times I've carried a tripod but could not set up in time to get the shots I want. I know that if I could my photography would improve. |

Thank you for that wonderful suggestion. I went back and re-edited the original image and sharpened the body/wings of the fly a bit. I think it makes a big difference by allowing the viewer to better identify the subject. Also makes the image better balanced. Thanks again! |

This is a really nice shot. Layers, triangles and dark processing give this image a powerful moody impact. I usually like a lot of contrast in black and white but the softness in this image works really well. |

Nice eagle shot. Good detail and yes I agree there could be more feather detail on the eagle's neck. I assume you were using the Z9 with then new 800mm S lens. Don't know your camera settings but looks as if you got everything right. Thanks for posting. |

Hey Richard, Wonderful pose on those birds. Looks as if your back yard setup is working well for you. To me the original looks pretty noisy. Must have been very low light. In the processed image the birds look over-sharpened and a bit oversaturated. I know everybody likes to shoot birds at high shutter speeds, but lowering to 1/1000 to get the ISO down (less noise) might have been an option. I don't know. It's still an appealing image. |

I get it. To me the image showing the fly clasping the anther with its two front legs and proboscis sipping pollen shows a lot of detail. This is a tiny fly. Of course, I know what I'm trying to show here and assumed others would see it too. Good feedback. Thanks. |
