I use one of those sit-on-top fishing kayaks. They are pretty stable. And keep photo equipment in a dry bag until ready to use. And the equipment is insured! |

Hi David, you took a small patch of snow with animal tracks and made a cool-looking abstract image! I think the image is more about curves - the edges of the melted areas and the path of the animal tracks. I might try bringing up the whites a bit, lowering the blacks, increasing contrast and clarity to see how that looks. |

Hi Bud, you captured a great pose on the osprey. And I like seeing the head of the bird's mate peeking out of the nest. Adds interest and tells me it's a nesting pair. Good!! I might try using an adjustment brush to lighten up the shadows, especially under the wings, and selectively bring down the highlights. Thanks. |

Richard, you really nailed this one! Super sharp, colors bright and true, cropped just right, and one of our most beautiful little songbirds. What's not to love?? |

Larry, that's absolutely fascinating. And a great photo, of course. I usually don't like strong shadows, but in this case I can see some of the sand Boris kicked up - cool! Nature is wonderful to observed and I'm inspired by this story and photo. Was the ball head attached to an actual frisbee, or it that the name of photography contraption? |

Very nice image, Jason. I like the way your image includes some of the environment around the goats, especially the pink fireweed flowers and greenery in front - bright and might could have been toned down a little. Daddy Goat is in sharp focus, following goats are a little out of focus but that's good - implies depth to the photo. |

Hi Cindy. This is a beautiful image. You really worked some magic in post processing! I don't know diddly-squat about night photography, so all I can say is "nice job!" |

Yes, I almost always use auto ISO. I have not tried the gigabyte program you mentioned. I'll check it out. Thanks! |

Yes, this is one of those photos that I really, really wanted to be good. It's not. But I'll keep it to remember the thrill of seeing the otters. |
