My takeaways for this month. Get rid of those distracting features! Contrast, contrast, contrast in black and white. Use the LR red and blue channel sliders to darken the sky. It's been a slow month in the group. Guess folks are out traveling and shooting. Hope you don't have "the Covid". But if you do, don't blame me. I always wear a mask while viewing your images. |

Richard, did you see my revised image? It's much better I think, and would look good in color. Thanks for the input. |

Thanks for the comments. I went back to "square one" and re-processed the image. This time I used the zone system for the mountains, like Ansel did, and the adjustment brush to burn, dodge and adjust exposure, contrast and clarity for each zone. For the sky I used the graduated filter for the sky, plus the adjustment brush to darken and add contrast. I then adjusted the blue and aqua levels. Finally I used the radial filter to add some sun spots to the foreground and tree line. I like this version better. Thanks again! |

Hi Richard, I really like this image. Great action and poses. The birds in focus against the gray sandy beach background is very appealing. I would use the adjustment brush to try to tease out some more feather detail - highlight, clarity and white sliders. Thanks. |

Another great waterfall shot from the master! I like the way the waterfall is offset from center and the highlighting on the water. Your patience in getting this image is amazing. |

Hi Jason, basically a good image but looks a little dark and bland to me. I would try increasing the exposure a little on the bird using the adjustment brush. And also try setting the white point higher to brighten up the whites if you can without blowing them out. Nice image. |

Hi Todd, a beautiful waterfall for sure. Yes I agree the image is dark. I like placing the waterfall a little off center. It might be just my eyes, but the bridge does not look level, and to me it makes the image a little off balance. I would try leveling the bridge - easy to do in LR. Thanks for posting this one. |
