Well, don't blame me. I'm not the one who jumped on the wrong color flower! (joking) |

Wow, that's a wonderful image. IMO, just need to lighten the shadows on the elephant and selectively darken the brighter areas of the background. Use lots of feathering on the darkening so it's not noticeable. |

Yep, this quarantine is really hard on us old retired folks. At least you are not shooting lizards (like I am). Actually, being a bird watcher, I find the fact that the goldfinch is in transition to breeding plumage to be very interesting. Good focus on the eye, and at eye-level. Nice lighting. Nice bokeh. Generally, I would work those Lightroom sliders a little more - lighten the shadows, set the white point, reduce the contrast a little, increase clarity and use the adjustment brush to darken and de-saturate the background just a little bit, then use the Details mask to sharpen the bird a little. The image is fine as-is, just throwing out some things I would try, between cups of coffee :). |

That little bubbling wave of water is super cool. Makes for an interesting bird pose. I like the highlighting of the front of the bird and the water. This image reminds me of the advantages of eye level. Thanks! |

Nice composition on a pleasingly soft picture. The bee's eye is in focus and nice lighting. The image looks kinda grainy, as in an extreme crop. Maybe it's the super high ISO. But I see you have the 1DX camera so maybe it can handle it. Good idea to remove the distractions around the edges. Anyway, a very nice image! |

You have captured a beautiful scene, and it's great that you are exploring new approaches and pushing the limits. A pretty picture, but to me it looks over-processed. Too slick, too colorful, too sharp - just my opinion. |

Thanks very much for your perspective. I see the subject as not being only the lizard, but the lizard in a colorful natural environment of irises. So the bright colors to me are not distracting. I'm attaching another crop which includes less of the iris. I think I actually like this one better. |
