Yes I think this image is better. Would suggest that you crop the bottom to eliminate that little bit of water. This will give more sky emphasis and a more panographic look. Nice! |

Isle Royale was great, and the mosquitoes weren't bad at all. We were surprised. It's designated wilderness, no motorized vehicles or roads, only hiking.
I admit this is not the greatest photo, but look at that raindrop. Wow! Anyway, I've got an image for next month that will knock your socks off. |

That is a truly beautiful bird. You captured a nice pose. As for cropping, I think a little more space below and in front of the bird would be good. I would try darkening the dappled part of the background a bit and applying a vignette around the image. I really like the vegetation at the bottom and right - juniper and some berries. Great! |

Another nice bird portrait. When I see portraits with plain backgrounds I tend to wonder what's around that bird. I see the dry red soil in this image and am wondering if this is an arid site, or is it tropical. As for processing, I think the bird might could be brightened up a tiny bit to better show it's subtle colors. I like the way the color of the bird's breast complements the soil color. |

This is the kind of shot I really like. I wouldn't change anything, except maybe use the LR adjustment brush to sharpen the spider, and maybe try that new Texture adjustment. It looks great. You mentioned cropping, but this shot is actually wider than the original you posted. Me like! |

Wow, a dramatic shot. The large overexposed area is distracting. I think it wouldn't hurt to crop most, if not all of it off on the right side. Hmmm, I'm wondering what this shot would look like as a very contrasty black and white. |

A very appealing shot. Your description implies that you were not using a tripod. If you were, you could have used a slower shutter speed and higher f stop and kept the ISO from going higher. That would give you more depth of field. When I look at the image I want to see more space. More stream, more room around the cub. Just a wider cut all around. Of course, you can't correct that and you did a good job of processing the image you have. |
