Welcome Madhu. The backlighting effect is wonderful on this photo. The details you captured are great. I can even see part of the silk thread on which the caterpillar is hanging. The only additional thing I might try is eliminating the faint lighter areas in the upper corners. I love this photo! |

We'll be in Big Bend National Park at the end of March. This image inspires me to try my hand at this type of photography. The K-1 has an astro-tracking system using GPS and the camera's built-in shake reduction mechanism that might be fun to try. Thinking about it, it would be major photography malpractice to go there and not take some night shots. I'll contact you about recommended settings etc. as we get closer to the trip date. Thanks. |

Ah, I see the halos now. That was introduced in the Topaz application. I'll go back and look at alternative processing. Thanks. |

A good photo that captures the elegant beauty of this graceful bird. I think you made a good choice to process in black and white. I didn't see any mention of Topaz in your comments, but it's an elegantly simple image - cropping, conversion to B&W, some selective sharpening to bring out feather detail, and slightly lightening of the legs and beak could all be done in Lightroom. Whichever way you did it, the result is very appealing!

Wonderful colors in an image featuring one of our most beautiful birds. Being a cropoholic, I can relate to the problems introduced by such a heavy crop. You could have reduced the crop a bit by moving the bird more to the upper left of the frame (rule of thirds) and backing off a bit to give more negative space. I don't know what else you did in processing, besides cropping, but a little work to lighten the shadows and sharpen would be good. A beautiful image! |

Wow, what a fantastic image! I know very little about astro-photography so can't really comment on any technical details. But I can imagine a model standing in the water, like Bo Derek in the movie "10". Joking. Great shot. |

I like the contrast of colors and the circular pattern of the fish in the water. If you haven't already, I would try the LR radial filter or adjustment brush to add a little saturation to the duck and maybe darken it just a wee bit. A nice image! |

Very interesting little insect. I love this kind of shot. Good job of processing. I might try to lighten the shadows a bit, but that's about it. |
