Another really great action shot. Shooting from a boat is always tough. Good work David. I can't see any big changes I could offer that would improve the image much. I may have left a little on the left side of the crop to make the cubes not in the center of the image. I know I am being a little picky. |

Another great action shot this month. I am going to agree with some of the other comments. INO the space between the Bee and the Bird is too much. You could use generative fill to make the image larger on the left and right and that may cause them to appear closer together to the viewer. You could do as Cindy suggested and go with the bee by itself. That would be a tough decision for me because I like the interaction between them. One other thing would consider the next time you get the chance is bumping the f-stop and try and get more of the twigs that are close to the bird and bee in focus. That may not work because I don't know the distances between the two you were working with, but something I try to keep in mind when I am out there. |

Love Green Herons. Great action shot. Aa you have already said this shot is not on your top 10 list for the year and I would agree. I have seen some better things of yours. A couple of issues I would try fixing. The Background and areas of the bird blend really well together and that is not so good. The top of the Herons head and upper mandible need to be separated more for the background IMO. I would try to lighten-up the upper half of the background using the radiant tool just enough to get that separation. I don't understand the light sections of water between the birds' legs. |

Really good Cindy. Love watching these guys do their thing. I do like the water droplets as leading lines as Larry said, but it actually shows the action that has just taken place and that really adds to the photo's story. |

I too am confused about the description. As far as the GBH is concerned He needs a little more room in the front and maybe less on the left. Agree with Michael, a little overprocessed. I am not a fan of birds looking straight at me. I would rather have a profile shot. |

Very good Michael. New one for me as well. Lots of sticks and leaves in the background but I would have had my camera on burst for as long as they would stay there. You get extra points for all that action. |

Hey guys here is the edited version of the image. I changed most of the things you suggested. Removed the Hockey stick added some to the right and the left of the photo and reduced the exposure on the GBH to match the reflection better. |

Thanks, Larry for the comment. I did make some changes and posted the New Image at the bottom of the thread. I added space to the right and the left, took out the Hockey stick. I left the overall exposure alone but did reduce the exposure on the GBH to better match the reflection. |
