An unusual image for us east coast guys. We have very few rock formations on the sandy beaches of the Carolinas. I find the rock formations much more interesting than the slot between the rocks. I also find the color version better to my liking. I guess if you see these beautiful rock formations a lot you would be looking for thinks like the slot between the rocks. I do find that interesting, but the rocks are amazing. |

Hi Bud. Great image. I like this type of image for its story telling. I don't know if the opportunity presented itself or not, but I would have liked to see both of the animal's heads held high. That's just a personal preference. Another personal preference is the tree on the right. I understand leaving it in the image, it's part of the environment of the animals and adds to the overall story but it seems just a little large and I keep wanting to take a look at it. A smaller bush would have worked better, I think. Again, you take what nature gives you and work with it. I think you have done well with this story. |

Another great image Larry. You have mastered photography techniques for moving water. I am kind of like Dave; I take and bunch of shots at different angles and shutter speeds and pick the one I like, sometimes 2 of them. I think I will work on the blending of photos more aggressively after seeing your work. |

Wow Cindy, what a great opportunity for you. I would agree with most of the comments. I am going to take that shot every time it becomes available. The first photo of the bear is OK but it kind of reminds me of the comments I receive from some of my photography friends, it's a bird on stick. It's a bear on a rock and a nice image but it does not compare to the image of the 3 bears eating on the whale carcass with the Sea Gull waiting for its turn. Level 4 for sure. That image is VERY SPECIAL!

Frank this is a special image. An image that the most of us will never capture. I do like the color of the monkeys and the positions of them except I would love to have seen the face of the top monkey. I keep looking for the face but sometimes you have to take what nature gives you. Someone said the best photo was the bottom Mom feeding the baby and I agree but I see no way of being able to separate them for the rest. Good work I would have not hesitated to take this shot.

Michael, I like the Flicker. It is nice and sharp, and you caught the catch light well. I don't even mind that the tail is tucked behind the branch. That's what these guys do so that is a natural move. Your worry about the foliage is understandable. I find it busy and distracting. The background might not have been so bad, but the foreground just looks out of place/focus and that is very distracting.
