The guys can really showoff in the spring. Great image and I agree about the background. I did not work with it but with the new Lightroom masking you can do wonders with backgrounds now. If there was anything I would like to have seen different in the photo it would have been some separation between the left wing and the neck area of GBH. Having said that, anytime you can get detail on a flying bird, even a slow flyer like a Heron it is a success image. |

Great image David. It is a compelling shot for sure. I really like it. The juxtaposition of the rockface with that great texture and the colorful mist created by the waterfall is wonderful. I played around with the image some but could not come up with anything that I thought was much of an improvement. The one thing I did fined a little intriguing was changing the image to a black and white. I know that messes with the wonderful rainbow, but it sure made an interesting image. |

Great shot Jason. Wonderful detail on the Bee with a load of pollen. Being handheld, you must have had a good amount of shutter speed going. I look at everything from right to left so my eye stopped at the bee and did not notice the dark spot Larry spoke of. I am more distracted by the lower left corner with the bright white flower petal. I know you could not change the color of the flower, but maybe more detail in the petal would have helped. |

Michael there is not much different I could say about this image. I will agree with what Larry said. Extremely sharp, really nice composition and certainly has a good story line. Your subject really stands out as is but with a cleaner background it would have been way over the top. It's still a winner.
