67 Jan 22 Reply Thanks Michael, I am thinking a small boat of some sort would be a good way to spend the day on this lake. Like your ideas. I do have some panoramic shots of the scene that I like. I may try a different crop to move the trees to the lower corner. I think I would like that. Jan 25th
67 Jan 22 Reply Thanks, David for the comments. I do have this image in several of the different ways you suggested. I did like the Pano crop a lot. I just can't bring myself to remove t4eh little tree although I understand the reason to remove it. Just part of the story I wanted to tell I suppose. I did try the ND filter and long exposure earlier in the morning but wasn't happy With that. To Dark at that time of the day. Jan 25th
67 Jan 22 Comment Great photo Larry. The waterfalls looks just about right and the and the polarizer worked its wonder on the flat water too. I really like all the textures on the rock face. I am going to agree with David, I am not crazy with the rock sticking above the waters surface. It's location in the center of the waterfall reflection is a distraction to me. The Patypod works well. I have been thinking of picking one up for the beach scenes that I like to shoot but I would still have to get down lower than I like. Then would have to hire someone to come along to get me up on my feet again. Jan 12th
67 Jan 22 Comment This is a big WOW image. You worked some magic processing of a pretty drab orginal image. I just don't see any thing I would change. I love the sky and the layers of the mountains and differant colors is outstanding. The diagonal lines of the sun that leads you through the image from left to right is perfect. Thid is a keeper for sure. Jan 12th
67 Jan 22 Comment Great image of the fisty little Snowy Egret. Those yellow slippers on the guys make the photos stand out just a little more than normal on white birds. I will agree that the shoulder area of the Egret is a overexposed and you can try some post processing to help with that. I find when photographing these white birds against dark backgrounds it helps to add a littl negetive Exp Comp. Now if I could only always remember to do it life would be grand. I like that you cleaned up some of the things on the surface of the water, that really helps the image. The only thing I may try is to use a virtical crop that includes the Egret and it's reflections and less of the water on the right of the image. Stil a great photo of a beautiful bird. Jan 12th
67 Jan 22 Comment Hey Jason nice spot to be in with that little water falls and rock formations. Most of us camera geeks would love to spend some time there. I will agree the the otheres the sky is beautiful but does not work well with this image. The foreground should reflect more of the light source to make it really work. The image seems a little out of balance and I supect its beause of the source of light. If the light was coming from the upper right of the image the darker right side of the the rock face and trees would not seem so unbalanced. I would try replacing the sky with another. I still like the image. Just a little tweaking with that skycould go a long ways.

67 Jan 22 Comment Wow, What a great oportunity for you. You certinly have captured the mood of being cold and damp. Being a southern guy I am shrivering just looking at the image. I was wondering what if anything you done in post, because I can't see much differrence between the orginal and the posted image. I took the optunity to edit the image a bit, hope you don't mind. I darkened the sides of the mountain just a little to help place more enphsis on the Glacier. The Glaicer is the story and I think it needed to stand out a little bit more. Maybe someday I will get to take a trip up notrh above the Mason Dixen Line. Jan 10th

Michael, wonderful image. I have been lucky enough to have explored that beautiful place a time or two. It is definitely an entriging place. I love the Maritime forest of the barrier Island and this on is one of the best. Cumberland has so meny thing for the photographer that I could spend a week or two with out a problem. You have captured the essence of the forest just as I remmber it. I have not done the northern section of the island so that's a great excuse to go back. Wild horses, burned out Dungeness Mansion, forest, beaches, beautiful sand dunes. I don't see anything that needs to change. I will say I like the orginal as well as the post production image. Wonderful!!
