I have several shots of the fall in bit and pieces. I do like your crop a lot. Makes the shot much more impressive. Thanks |

Thanks Larry. What you see here is a very small sections of the waterfalls as to stretches' far to the left of the image before it comes to the other side of the River. I agree the water is a little hot and I did work on it some but that was before the new LR update. I will go back and give that a try. I do like your crop better, I don't need all that extra water below the falls.

Thanks Cindy. I did bracket 3 shots. The original is the bracketed image. Maybe I should have done 5 or increased the stops to get a better range. I agree that it is a little blown out on the left.

I too think you achieved your goal of capturing the trees on their gorgeous colors. It could be a little sharper and Topaz should fix that for you. I think you done well in your post work bringing out those beautiful colors. You made New Hampshire proud.

A good one Bud. I think we all fight with these Squirrels at our feeders more than we like. My wife loves them and gives me a hard time when I chase them away from the feeders. She remind me the the need to eat as well. This is a nice image of the Sharp-shinned. Good detail of the Hawk but the background could have been a little darker but it ain't bad. Just would have been my preference. You captured a good eye glint which always help make the image so much better. |

Another great image of the Barred Owl. In motion no less, again! I find it very hard to catch these guys in flight because they make no noise in flight so you have to spend a tremendous amount of time watching an Owl setting on a branch doing nothing and hope you are ready to press the shutter at that exact time of it's departure from the perch. I too enjoyed the youtube with David Yarrow. Very dedicated to his craft and presents quite a challenge to us armature's. His approach to photographing animals reminds me a lot of Art Wolfe and some of his use of the wide angle lens shooting. Thanks for the lesson. |

Jason this is one of your best. I really enjoy the creativity of your light Painting. The composition of the Mushrooms is prefect. I do agree the foreground could be sharper. If not Focus Stacking then Maybe a higher f-stop would have helped. The spider web in the center of the image could be removed. The one on the right does not bother me as much because I know what it is and would expect it to be there. The one n the center I am not sure what is is. I still think it is a wonderful image. |

I like it Cindy. Waterfalls are intriguing to me and I always admire folks that are good at this type of image. The shutter speed you chose has worked well for slowing the water to get to that milky look we all enjoy. I do think it is a little tight and I find myself looking for the pool below the falls. Maybe it was a lousy pool and would not have worked but I still wonder. Opening up the shadows on the rocks was a good thing. Over all I like the image a lot. Good Work.

Very nice Michael. The fly is the and flower go together well. I am with Larry on the square crop. If the stem were in focus I may have liked is as a leading line but it still seems to be pushing the flower out of the frame. Square it up and you have a winner.
