Thanks David for the comments. Then branch is still to bright. I worked on that think but maybe not enough. That artifact looking think I am not sure about. I keep forgetting about the content aware fill tool. Never use it much but should remember it is there to use. |

Thanks Bud for the comments. Most times I catch the glint in the eyes but not this time. I could have created one but it never looks real to me when I do that. Maybe because I know it's not real. Thanks. |

Thanks Larry. I was not happy with the darkness on the right that the tree created and should have done better work on that. The branch is still a little bright. You should have seen it when I started on it. Thanks |

Wow David what a powerful image. I must say I really like Michael's crop of the image. That puts the animals right on the doorstep. I am going to the outer banks of North Carolina in a couple of weeks hopping to get some shots of the wild horses they have on the beach. If I get anything close to this action I will be one happy camera guy. I love the image.

Who does not like taking shots of The great American Bald Eagle. I know you guys have ,ore opportunities than we do here in the South East but we are seeing this great more and more every year. I guess I agree with the rest of the guys about some of the thinks that would improve the image. I think it may be a little busy for my taste but you don't have much control over that. My biggest distraction is the small rock/shell that is in contact with the Birds Beak. I still would have taken the shot, because you have already said you were going back. |

I'm Back Larry . My computer took about a 2 1/2 week lunch at the HP repair Store. Was using an old unit I had and it would not allow me to much freedom. Anyway to the subject of your image of the Egret and Gator friendship. I have seen that happen a few times. The Egrets and Herons seem to know when the gators are not looking for dinner. It does happen though. I have also witnessed that event on more that one occasion. Wonderful photo and you certainly got the story told of the interaction of this pair. Image is nice and sharp as always and I like the little bit of motion in the water. Good Work. |

I love Red-winged Blackbirds Jason. I have way to many pictures of them. I even like the females too. This is a wonderful image. I only wish I had taken it. I don't have and image with that hot breath in the cold air. I do not think it ever gets that cold here in the winter. My normal incantation is to include as much of the subjects environment as I can get away with. I love showing where the animals live. This time however I may have cropped this a little tighter. I think the hot breath from the Blackbird is the story and needs to be highlighted a little more. I may have cropped out that tall Cattail on the left that is somewhat distracting and some of the lower parts of the cattails on the right as well. Maybe even the two on the right as well. That would still put the bird with a good compositional position and would have highlighted the Blackbird with the hot breath a little more. A wonderful image anyway Jason.

This one speaks to me Todd. All about the wilderness for sure. The next time, could you order an extra foot snow. That would have really helped the image. I love the B&W choice. That works well with the Bison and the snow. It would have been nice to see the faces of a couple more Bison but you take what you can get. Wonderful image.

Wow what a perspective of this bird. I'm just glad you weren't the bug. I could suggest some minor changes but with the WOW factor when first opening this image you never see anything that distracts you from the Big Bird looming overhead ready to pounce. Your right this is about being in the right place at the right time. And I never take that as a lucky thing. You were the one that took the time to be there at that time.
congratulations. |
