Thanks Cheryl. They are a blast to watch. I too have seen the rejection. I watched a female that took the offering and threw it over the side. This guy was a little more picky with his offering. We watched him select several branches and then after studying them cast them aside and go after another. I guess he learned his lesson at some time.

These little guys are one of the birds that I always look forward to during migration. When I look at them I think they are dressed in their Sunday Best. I love the shot Cheryl. Of course you captured their best side and waited for the head to turn in the right direction.Great job. I does look like you cropped alot and that is sometime necessary in order not to miss a great moment . I just read Steve Perrys blog on cropping that Larry referred to and I now understand much better the benefits of cropping in the camera. Wow, you done a lot of post work and you done it well. Now I have to wait for a flock of Cedar Wax Wings to come through my neighborhood. |

I will agree with everyone else. You got to love a cutie and you captured this baby well. Maybe a little soft but well within the acceptable range for me. On my bucket list to take that trip. Good work. |

Outstanding photo Larry. I have not had the opportunity to photograph these beautiful animals. Telling your adventure of stalking the Ram helps in understanding your passion for capturing the image as well as solidifying my passion when my wife says," you just took a picture of that elk last year, what do you need another one for'. I like the 3d look. The sun rays illuminating our subjects in dark environments is a photographers dream come true. The afternoon sun does cause a shift in the colorations but hey, what is the alternative. Post processing is good as always. You have given the Ram room to roam and from where I am standing in the scene he will pass by real close.I keeping looking back at the image trying to find something I might have changed. Maybe if you could have had the Ram turn his head a little to the left looking back might have been better. Try that the next time. |

I love the action taking place and your timing could not have been better with the pools of water still present in the sandy beach. That creates wonderful reflections of the Gulls. I too think that you could add a bit to the bottom of the image. I may have tried flipping the image horizontal. This is a very popular thing to do these days and I don't always agree but with this photo it may be worth a try. I "think" it would give you the impression of the birds running at you. Overall it is a good image, action shot with a story is always good in my book. |

Great image Michael. The little green snake is sharp as a tack. Normally not much in the environment around a wildlife shot bothers me much, but in this case because green is the color of the day the small brown object in the corner seems somewhat out of place and a distraction. So I agree it may need to be eliminated. Maybe moving the snake to the right a little would help. I really think it is a great photo. Wish I had taken it.
