The "painting changes the image a lot. I like what it has done to the windscreen. I agree with Jan and would crop off the top or perhaps make the image square?

I like that you have darkened the background to make him stand out more but it has made a black line around the subject? Not too sure if that was intentional?
I wonder whether a wider crop would have been better to actually show what he is doing? You can see something in the bottom left corner but not enough to make out what is happening.

Molly looks as if she could be mischievous!!
Her eyes are lovely and sharp as needed in a portrait.
Only thing I might do is "remove" what looks like her tail on the lower right side as, once seen, my eye keeps going there.

Image is lovely and sharp and showing a lot of detail. The green "curtains" give it all quite an eerie feeling!! The light coming through from the back really adds to the image and helps bring out all the detail especially in the broken up floor.

Your post processing has brought out a lot more detail in the image and I think the gold pieces add to it. As you say you have captured the ball at just the right moment a difficult thing to do timing wise!! The lighting is very good. I do not have a light where you can alter the KB but am looking!!
With the "banging" of the balls it has meant that none of the image is sharp except for the base. I think I may have been tempted to take another image with the balls still and then blend it in with the moving image?. Just me!!
