Thanks for letting us know how you did it!! Have seen a sinilar image before and have wondered how it was done. Simple when you know how!!
I like the BG but wonder if bottom could be a little darker to give the glasses a base? Just my opinion. |

Interesting to find a lion on a walk in Wales!! No Dragons?
I like what you have done and who would have thought there was so much colour to be brought out of a wooden sculpture. Gives it a painterly feel.
I think I prefer what Joan has done without one layer being flipped?

Always good to have another person looking at an image and I agree with what you have said re the border. |

A lovely composite of your grand daughter. Turning it into black and white was a good idea and works well. Perhaps could have had the puck showing in the middle image but all very well done. |

What a lovely idea and I bet your wife is chuffed with it?
I like the diagonal line the right hand side of the book makes.
Well done.

Love what you have done to the misty BG as the colours really fits in with the eagle. The eagle has been well placed on the thirds. A lovely image. |

He looks to be "chilling" out!!
Glad you removed his foot as in the original it seems as if not attached to anything!! The BG you have used fits the image well and he seems to be looking at it. The smoke brush you have used puts the finishing touch to the image.
Well done.

What a lovely scene. Looks a great place to visit and chill!!
I felt that there was a little too much sky and also the horizon is not straight. Have had a little play with it, see what you think. |

I like the way you have used the over hanging trees and path (?) to frame your subject. The slightly sepia tone works well. The Topaz rendering you did has made a very gritty dramatic image.
I am not too sure I like what has happened to the foreground in your post processing. When I first saw it my thoughts were that there was a lot of logs or debris there!! I have cropped in a bit. See what you think? |

Lovely image of the Woodpecker. I have similar coming regularly to my feeders.
Image is lovely and sharp where it needs to be with BG well blurred.
I have taken the liberty to have a play with it as I found it seemed to have a blue tinge to it. I went into hue and saturation and lowered the blue and cyans. Then used the clone stamp tool to get rid of what looks like part of a car (?) top left. Then used the levels adjustment midtone slider which brought a bit more detail out of his feathers. See what you think!! |

Kurt this is a link to a site I follow on uTube. The chap is very good at demonstrating lighting techniques for still life. You have to ignore the professional lighting he uses and adapt it to what you have but I have learnt a lot following him!!

Some people are so clever!! The lady is very engrossed in her work and making a great job of as well!!
Seems there is no need to have all the "big" cameras these days as phones do such a good job!!
Well done for spotting this lady. I think the angle you have taken the image at is just right as you get a lovely shot of her work as well as the framed painting on the wall, well done. |

Nice to have another group member who does still life my go to subject!!
A good simplistic image that tells a story. The colours have all come out really well and your Amazon spoon fits in well with the perculator colour. The reflection is a bit distracting and I would have taken it out.
I had a bit of a play and straightened the background a bit and also cropped in a tad. See what you think?
