20 May 23 Reply Thanks for that. May 14th
20 May 23 Comment Well put together and the northern lights behind the statue makes it really stand out. Well done. May 4th
20 May 23 Reply Fred, well spotted! I hadn't noticed the yellow. May 4th
20 May 23 Reply Agree with you, thanks! May 4th
20 May 23 Comment Another clever and well thought out image. I like the way the light beams create a triangle guiding you into the image and the lower areas making a dark vingnette to stop your eye going out of the image. May 2nd
20 May 23 Comment What a clever idea!! Until I read your description I hadn't noticed the image within an image, sorry!! But looking at it then can see how well the two images have been merged together. The drop shadow finishes it off to a T.
Very well done and something I must try.

20 May 23 Comment A great image and the post processing makes it look like a painting.
The top of another vessel (?) at the left hand lady's feet catches my eye and perhaps could have been cloned out?
Well done.

81 May 23 Comment Thanks, Mr T. yes an English Springer Spaniel. May 12th
81 May 23 Reply Thanks, Rose. May 6th
81 May 23 Comment Rose, as a matter of interest the "squares" you have put at an angle either.Did you do this by eye or is there something in PS that can be used? May 5th
81 May 23 Comment Great action shot. Pity the ball was not a bit nearer then you could have cropped in a bit tighter and got rid of the spectators in red!! All lovely and sharp. I like the little "puff" of earth coming up from the lady running shoe. (sorry no idea about baseball terminology!!).
Only thing I would say is to perhaps try and dumb down the brightness of the large SBC sign as quite dominant in the scene and distracting.
For shooting in low light I think all you can do is open your aperture as much as possible and up the ISO. With the Canon R5 (on my wish list!!) I expect you can use a high ISO with little noise result.

81 May 23 Comment Lovely image of a wild duck. We have the same here in the UK.
I like the crop you have done and that you have flipped the image. The colours are lovely and muted. I like the trail of bubbles he has left whilst swimming!
Looking close the duck doesn't seem to be very sharp which is a shame. Not an easy subject as they do not stay still for long!!

81 May 23 Comment Really like what you have done with this image. Having the side images at an angle all add a nice feel to it. Using an image of the castle as a backdrop is a very good idea. This has given me an idea of what to do with images I took recently on a camera club outing.
Well done.

81 May 23 Reply I didn't enjoy the Christmas challenge so much but the Easter one was really good. May 3rd
81 May 23 Comment I have a clematis that has these after the flowers have gone. They are very photogenic!!
You have done well with the post processing and I like that you have made it into a square. The frame finishes the image off well.

81 May 23 Comment Well seen and I like what you have done to it post processing. You have done very well with the newspaper and it blends in well. Everything lovely and sharp. All the tones are lovely and natural. Might have liked a bit more space in front of him but can see why you have cropped tight to leave out the chap walking along with his shopping!!.
Well done.

81 May 23 Reply Thanks for that. It is hard to get colours right when in different lighting. Looks great framed and on my wall!! She is like me getting on and a bit decrepit now so nice to remember her as she was. Great company. May 1st
81 May 23 Comment I have not done much infrared myself having only a filter but I think the result you have got looks great!!
I like the composition and subject and your processing has really brought out all the detail especially in the sky. In the original you would never guess there was so much detail to be pulled out. This is different to other infrared images I have seen that are mainly black and white with all the greens showing white and the sky black.
Perhaps I might give it another go, well done!!
