18 Mar 23 Comment Makes a very interesting and striking abstract image. I like the way you have "colour popped" some of the balconies but have the others mono. Must have been a huge ship!! Mar 1st
18 Mar 23 Comment Very effective and I really like the inner glow border. Has improved the original immensely!! I can see this as a tile in a kitchen? Mar 1st

20 Mar 23 Reply Yes, having looked at a similar image in another group you are quite right I should have got lower and zoomed in more on the bulb. Always learning!! Mar 7th
20 Mar 23 Comment Deborah welcome to our group. I look forward to seeing all your images!!
A lovely montage of the Mardi Gras which gives a good idea of the atmosphere that surrounds the event.
Well done.

20 Mar 23 Comment Fred I really wish I had your imagination!!!
Very well done and an etheral feeling to it all. Love the colours you have choses.
Only thing that I would change is the part under the "swans" neck which I think is part of the original flower. I wonder if be better to paint it out and let the texture through in that area? Just my opinion!!

20 Mar 23 Comment The two images have been very well blended together. I like what you have done to the foreground which gives it a lot of extra detail and contrast.
Well done.

20 Mar 23 Comment I really like what you have done in post processing. It really brings out the sadness in his face and makes the whole image more interesting.
Other than taking off that sliver at the base that is a different colour I wouldn't change anything.

81 Mar 23 Comment A really great action shot. Really captured the moment of them all after the frisbee. Like the way the girl (?) is framed by the two lads jumping for the frisbee.
Only thing in my opinion to improve it would be to remove the orange cone bottom right. If the chap in the light T shirt fell back on it that would really hurt!!!

81 Mar 23 Comment What can be said? A beautiful portrait very well done as usual!!
Glad you didn't have a novelty cake as that would have spoilt the whole image!!

81 Mar 23 Comment Lovely image from inside a church. By the look at the ISO you have used it was very dark? The noise seems to have been handled well. I like that the candle and flame are blurred meaning that your eye goes straight to the background details.
I do find it a bit dark and perhaps you could have lightened it a little in LR or Photoshop?

81 Mar 23 Comment Your sister seems to have a lot of exotic animals!!
He really seems to be posing for you. Love the eyelashes and the hairy ears!!! You have done really well blurring the background and I agree with you that any more would have ruined the shot.
Well done.

81 Mar 23 Comment Disgusting what some people will do to our environment!!
Well spotted and it makes a story image. Why are they there, have they crashed and been left, was anyone hurt?
I think the little conifer in the middle shows how nature will succeed if left alone.
For me I would have cropped some of the top off to concentrate on the cars a bit more.
Well done.

81 Mar 23 Comment A very difficult situation for getting a really good shot both from the speed of the action and the lighting. I think you have done very well here especially getting the puck as it hits the netting. It is lovely and sharp as well.
I think it perhaps could do with upping the exposure a little as seems a bit drab. I have also had a go at removing the second player as wondered whether he was needed? Have a look.
