81 Apr 21 Comment Great finished image. Love the subtle background and the colour which all compliments the Tulip. The frame colouring also goes well and finishes off the image.
Do you extract your flower and then place onto the texture or the other way round? Something I like doing but never feel 100% happy with the result!!

81 Apr 21 Reply Get your point about nothing definite to stop your eye wandering. The middle tree is a bit darker which helps a bit, I think!! Apr 6th
81 Apr 21 Comment I like the way you have cropped in making the image almost abstract. The composition creates a nice triangle with the bird on the verticle third.
I agree you do have some separation but probably, as you say, a fraction earlier would have given more.
In PS I tried it in B&W but couldn't make up my mind which I preferred that or the colour. B&W makes it into a very stark abstract image which I liked. All down to taste and what you wanted to portray.
Well spotted and as usual a great image.

81 Apr 21 Comment Lovely shot of the bird. The eye is nice and sharp and he is in a natural environment. We have Reed Buntings here but they look a little different.
I wonder if it might be better to lighten the shadows a tad. I think it would brighten the image up as seems bit dark to me. Also I would clone out the bare piece of the top of the plant he is perched on and crop top and bottom a bit to bring his eye onto the top of the thirds.
Great shot, well done.

81 Apr 21 Comment She looks very pleased with her peanut. I have them in my garden stealing the birds food!!!
Lovely sharp eye and the fact that her head is turned sideways means her nose is also nice and sharp!! Good idea to get rid of the wet patches.
I know it would be virtually impossible but a lower view might have improved the image.
