Absolutely stunning!!! Wow!! The aliens have landed!! Been looking at the Canon 5D Mark 1V and if you can get images like that with it might just make up my mind.
Well done |

Really like it and very clever. Like the way it has a soft almost glass like feel. Using the liquify has just added to the effect. I have that PanosFx action but haven't used it for ages. Will have to have another go. |

No flash used at all otherwise would have made too much highlight on glasses |

Great shot, nice and sharp and I like the lighting on the flower. Just enough detail in the background without it being distracting and especially like the bud to the right of the main flower.
I think the colouration of the flower is spot on but wonder if it would be better to tone down the colour of the background as seems to compete a bit with the flower.
Well done. |

Very different and well spotted. The lines in the background add to it and lead you to the main subject. Good use DOF with only small area on keyboard (?) sharp.
I do find that my eye keeps going to the black square that is in the centre and wonder whether it would be better cloned out? Also I wonder if you need all of the area to the right or would some cropped off make it a stronger image? |

I believe you are allowed to use a thin keyline. I have on more than one occasion had judges at my camera club who with a lot of images will say "It would be better if a keyline was used" or even a border!! |

Poor chap looks really fed up!!
Well spotted and I think the natural framing works well. He is near enough on the lower third and your eye is certainly drawn straight to him.
I think it would be hard to crop in any further other than perhaps just taking the top off a little? Nice lighting and the background is suitably blurred. |

You always spot something I hadn't noticed!!! Yes, agree more on left and could just crop off though that would mean that the black line on BG would be shy of the corner or crop top a little as well to compensate? I will give it a go!! |

Like the angle you have got with the plant coming from top left and then diagonally across. The background is lovely and blurred making the plant stand out. I think it will make a better image when the flower has opened a bit more and you can see more of the yellow? |

Noel, sorry about that if no stalk then cannot be included!!!
A keyline is a thin perhaps white line put round edge of image just to enclose the image a little. Have done one to show you. Of course you may not agree!!! |

Well spotted and interesting subject. Good subject for focus stacking and with 49 takes you did well!! Sharp as a tack all over, well done. I like the colours and the light coming from the left.
I think I might have liked to see a bit of stalk so it doesn't look as if floating? Also a thin keyline would make it all stand out more. Just my thoughts!! |

Completely agree it is a cats face though looks bit grumpy to me!!!
Glad you have toned down the colour a tad from the original and I think the crop you have done is spot on as well. Inside of the flower is pin sharp and well placed in the frame.
Only thing I might do is clone out that small piece of background that is showing right at the bottom? Once I saw it I kept looking but other than that well done!! Great image. |
