81 Oct 19 Comment Really like the and I think the composition is spot on. The main subjects are lovely and sharp but a nice blurred background but still enough detail to see it is a garden. I think the B&W conversion suits it well and shows up lots of detail.
Only thing I might think of doing is to try and darken the highlight area in the BG as a bit distracting.

81 Oct 19 Comment Beautiful and a style I have been trying to do but so far not too successful!!! The BG really compliments the flower and I love the subtle tones of the whole image.
I do wonder about the large surround though as I feel it overshadows the image? I have cropped it off and just darkened the border (as learnt from you!!). See what you think!		 Oct 4th

I did try a crop in PS to try and make the chap a bit larger in the frame but didn't like it as I think the background all adds to the image and the story of what type of life he has. Mono is a good choice and has been done very well. I would also like to see the colour version. Everything is sharp and the leading lines work very well.

You seem to have lost some of the definition in the red part of the plant when compared with the original. Perhaps try and bring that back a bit?

81 Oct 19 Comment Great action shot!! I think the clouds really add to the image as they help give the impression that the planes are coming out of them. A plain sky would not have made the same impact. You did really well to get such a sharp image as I know the speed these planes go!!
The only small thing I think would have made it better but I reckon you would have missed the shot. This would be to have had the two planes with white plumes to be a bit more separated as they are a bit lost in amonst the others. But if you had waited for that they would have been gone!!.
