I thought they were in the air!!. Such a clear and sharp image. I agree with Jerry about putting in a plane or kite and perhaps cloning out the filter pipe in top left? |

I like the effect you have given it and especially like the colour of the BG because white would have ruined it!! Really does look like a sketch, well done. |

Think it looks great and very effective. Really brings out the shape of all the petals and I am off to see if I can replicate it on one of my images!!! |

Beautiful!! Effect I keep trying to replicate but so far have not managed it to my satisfaction. Love the muted colours in the background that really make the Tulip (?) stand out. |

Thanks, Sandy.
I did make it dark on purpose as I wanted to create a bit of atmosphere and used negative exposure compensation to help. I will have a go in Topaz and see what I come up with. |

Having someone critique your image always makes you look closer to see what they see!! I find it very helpful. Great way to learn. |

I could see what you were trying to "say" and the bride and groom are at the crossroads of life!!! Just felt you couldn't see any detail of them. |

Well done for getting a good shot in what looks like tough conditions. All looks lovely and sharp.
I feel that the couple are a bit small in the frame and it is not till you zoom in that it looks as if they are a bride and groom? Perhaps could crop off the left side quite a bit to bring them more into view where you can see the lovely detail you have captured? |

I am not a great fan of converting wildlife images to B&W but in this instance I think it is well suited!! Well captured pose and the black BG works very well bringing out all the details of the bird. All works well.
One thing thing that draws my attention is the birds far leg. I think I would like to see if a bit more detail could be brought into it as at the moment all you can see is a straight line. Just nit picking though really.
From experience of lots of judges I wonder if they would want the image flipped? |

Lovely image, Sandy, well done. I do like the shadow of the centre of the flower showing onto the petal. (like you no good at naming flower parts!).
What about a square crop to put the centre of the flower onto the thirds and leaving out the brown background in the top right corner.
I have been trying out Topaz studio 2 a lot recently but not with too much success as yet but you have got it just right here!! |

Great image, well done. The Lens baby certainly works well with this and concentrates the eye onto the sharpest areas. I also like the way the flower is hanging and you have given it an appropriate title.
I do wonder whether it would be better cropped off the left handside to leave out the other flower as, although out of focus, is a bit distracting? It would also get rid of the strange gray blob near the bottom of the left corner. |

Another great portrait from you Cheryl!!
For me I think the catchlight angles are fine and I also like the casual way her hair is onto her shoulders (What a lovely colour!!) All lovely and sharp with good eye contact and I like the lighting you have used.
Only thing I would comment about is her arms? They seem to be in a strange position and I think it would be best to have either gone in tighter to eliminate them totally or to have gone for a wider shot with, perhaps, her hands resting on her lap? Just my opinion and will be interesting to see what the other members of the group say. |

A hard to do shot well done!!! Been there and tried this so know how hard it is to get the timing right!! The timing seems spot on and I really like the pile ice cubes at the base as they really balance the image. Only thing I might try is to up the exposure a tad and lighten the image a bit as seems somewhat dull? |
