Sarah, I really enjoy this image! Its peaceful and calming. I initially was going to suggest cropping out more of the blue in the sky, however, when I was playing with it in lightroom non of the crops worked even remotely. I like it as it is, no suggestions. |

Stu, did you intend to brighten the image? There seems to be some detail lost due to the blown out highlights and the lack of shadows. In that process, it appears you've lost some of the natural luster as well. For example in the original the color of the car is more of a cream and the chrome has a more natural patina to it and lastly the flag colors are vivid in the reflection. Please forgive my critique, I do not intend to be rude. |

Hmmm...seems a little too tight now lol, I rather liked the crop Stuart indicated last month. There was still quite a bit of interest in the image with the coral in the background without being too cluttered. |

Interesting subject Pat, vivid colors, and not like any woodpecker's we have here where I live, my eye instantly gravitates to the birds eye. The blur in the background helps make it stand out as the clear subject, despite some of the tail feathers are not quite as sharp as the rest of its body. Perhaps this is just me, so please take it with a grain of salt...I find the lack of interest in the background problematic as well as the brightness being too bright. Perhaps a crop like the attached would help with this? |
