45 Jul 17 Comment Your comment leaves me wondering what you meant. Can you explain?
Thanks.

45 Jul 17 Comment Cindy - once again you made the image pop from the background. Is the big shell a little soft? Hmm, I guess you purposely did that as I just read what filter you used. I find myself wanting the shells to move a bit to the center. The center of interest would not be centered, as it is big and imposing. That would be good. I think a little less space on the left. 45 Jul 17 Comment I certainly like what you did to a so-so image. Great job there. I agree with Cindy about a vignette. I find there is a bit too much space in front of the bird. I like the mouse. Once had a cat who found a couple of mice while we were away. He left them trailing through the family room. Thanks, Sir Duke of Donner! Thanks! Jul 5th
45 Jul 17 Comment Nice memories. I think the boat is too too... too in your face, perhaps. I would have liked a little more of the setting showing. You did a great job with your adjustments, making the image pop as the original does not. The original is just... there. But, it was a great starting point. Jul 5th
45 Jul 17 Comment I would like to see you crop a bit off the left. Not too much, just a bit. I would also suggest, as did Cindy, cropping off the right daisy. You did a great job of removing your shadow, which I believe is a no-no in nature photography. However, you did such a great job I doubt anyone would be able to tell. Just beware! A lovely shot, of course improved by deepening the colors. Jul 5th
45 Jul 17 Comment Hey, Ray! Good crop. It goes with the image. I like the image, wonder if you should have gotten the entire cap. Some judges hate when you cut it off. I don't mind it. He looks like he is concentrating. I guess that is a good thing to do when doing what he is doing.
I just looked back at Cindy's comment. She did improve the image... We can all learn a lot from each other, can we not?

45 Jul 17 Comment Hey, Richard. I like it. I think you chose the best part to emphasize. However, using a macro lens with a tripod would have resulted in a sharper image. In any case, I happen to like the painterly effect as well as the color palette. The bee certainly would be better if it was tack sharp, even if the rest wasn't. To me, this did have pop! Right in your fact Pop! And I like the crop. Jul 5th
