45 Apr 17 Reply To tell you the truth (which I always try to do), that is his harness for his leash, and I did not take it off (obviously). I never thought about it. Now that you mention it, I think it does add to the image, tying him to the background (instead of to his leash.) You know something else? I know the punctuation at the end of a sentence belongs inside the parenthesis, but that doesn't mean I agree! Where did that come from? Anyway, thanks for your positive feedback. Apr 17th
45 Apr 17 Comment I don't see the bokeh! Am I missing something? Apr 11th

45 Apr 17 Comment Hmmmm, I guess PSA put in both of my comments. Glad they were similar! Apr 11th
45 Apr 17 Comment I wish you had a stroke around the image to separate it from the background.

The image is lovely, nice sunset. I think there could be more detail showing in the foreground, and I keep looking for a center of interest.

45 Apr 17 Comment I see you are performing your magic again. This is not my favorite of your images, but it is good. My eye immediately went to the left of the frame because it looks crooked. It could be that the frame was leaning that way, but I do find it a bit distracting. I do like the composition and the leading ones created by the frame. Actually, when I look at the original, it does not seem as if the frame is crooked, but in your image...

Tell me... when you photograph the initial image, do you find the subjects and take the photos in situ or do you set them up? I am curious. It looks to me that you set them up.

45 Apr 17 Reply I got rid of the cross stitches... and the upper right brightness. I am not too good at cloning, I think it is an art. How did I do? I looked for the thread crossing the right bottom, but cannot find it. Any hints? And I do, do, do appreciate your comments. As you can see, I act upon them. Apr 9th
45 Apr 17 Comment Gene, I had made my comments and then... PSA did not respond and I have to do them over. I hope I remember.

Your image has incredible impact. I wonder if a darker (slightly dark) vignette might not have added to the sadness and mystery of the image. The memorial itself says a lot.

I like it, I like the feel of it...

45 Apr 17 Comment The flower is beautiful. It is sharp and the colors are great. Great job on that. I would have cleaned the background up a bit more. It just looks dirty to me.

It is amazing that you could take that little flower and keep its sharpness, even if you helped it along a bit.

You know, that is what I do A LOT! I steal a flower from a photo and do my thing. I like it.

45 Apr 17 Comment Good job. BW is better. Those statues make such an incredible statement about the times. I do think a darker vignette might have added to the drama, but the image is powerful as it is. Apr 9th
